Year 4 Transition
Year 4 Transition
Welcome to our school.
My name is Miss Kelly and I will be your progress manager for the next two years at Oldfields Middle School.
My job is to ensure you are being the best learner you can be, assuring we have respect for each other and keeping everyone safe while they are enjoying their time here at Oldfields Hall Middle school.
I know it can be a daunting yet exciting step for you, coming from first schools- but please know that I will assist you in settling into our school and will do all I can to support you and your family with your learning and progress here at Oldfields.
I am also an English teacher at Oldfields, so you may find that I am teaching you English too!
I look forward to meeting you either in your first schools over the summer term, or in September when we start back after the summer break- enjoy your holidays, see you soon!

Hello Year 4!
My name is Miss Faizey and I will be a Year 5 form tutor in September. I joined the school last year and have really enjoyed my first year at Oldfields – I hope you do too!
I teach in the Maths department, but I enjoy getting involved in lots of activities across the curriculum.
When I’m not in school, I enjoy keeping active by getting out in the fresh air, although nothing beats curling up with a good book!
I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all in September, see you soon!
Hello, my name is Miss Morris-Gell and I will be a Year 5 form tutor in September.
I love maths and have taught it at Oldfields for 11 years.
When I am not at school, I enjoy gardening, crafts and especially sewing and embroidery. I love spending time with my family including two dogs and two fluffy cats.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all in September.
My name is Mrs Gee and I will be a Year 5 tutor in September. I’m French and I’ve lived in the UK for almost 20 years. I mainly teach French at Oldfields so I might also see you in French lessons.
When I’m not at school teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also like gardening and crafts such as sewing; I enjoy going for long walks and spending time outdoors.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you all in September!
Hello I am Mrs Birch and I joined the Oldfields team last year. I teach in the Maths department, however I am extremely passionate about many aspects of teaching and learning across the entire curriculum.
When I’m not in school I love to spend time with my family, we love to travel and go on adventures- I’ll often have a crazy story to tell about where we’ve been and what we found whilst out and about. I also love to paint, go mountain biking and lose my self in a good book.
I look forward to meeting you all in September and can’t wait to learn all about you!
Hi, I’m Mrs Cope and I am a Year 5 tutor this year. I have be teaching at Oldfields for six years and I love our school!
As well as being a form tutor, I am also the Head of Maths at Oldfields, so I may teach you for maths from September.
In my spare time I love to cycle and walk my dogs and I also enjoy watching films. I sing in a choir and like to cook for my family (as well as doing maths puzzles).
I cannot wait to meet you all in September so that we can start your exciting Oldfields journey. Enjoy your summer!
